Privacy policy

1. Who we are

Tora Mari is operated by Blessings (Zimbabwe). You can reach us at chico@toramari.com. Tora Mari is an independent information and comparison site. It is not a lender.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

If you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address and message. Please do not include account numbers, Social Security numbers or other sensitive details.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure records technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages requested and the page that referred you. If you arrive from an ad or campaign link, we also receive campaign parameters in the address, such as utm_source or a Meta click ID (fbclid).

Information collected only with your permission

If you accept marketing cookies, we load the Meta Pixel and send events to Meta through its Conversions API. This can include cookie identifiers (_fbp, _fbc), the pages you view, whether you click a partner link, and your IP address and browser details. We do not send your name, email address or any financial details.

What we do not collect

Tora Mari does not take loan applications and does not ask for your Social Security number, bank details or credit information. The loan calculator runs in your browser, and the values you enter are not sent to us.

3. How we use information

• To respond to your messages and requests.
• To operate, secure and improve the site.
• With your permission, to measure and improve the performance of our advertising.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

4. How we share information

• Service providers that help us run the site, such as web hosting and email delivery. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
• Advertising partners (Meta), only if you allow marketing cookies, as described above.
• Lenders and affiliate partners. When you click a partner link, we pass campaign parameters (such as utm_*, fbclid and a sub-ID) in the link so the partner can attribute the visit. We do not pass your name or email. Anything you enter on a partner's website is collected by that partner under its own privacy policy.
• Legal and safety reasons, such as responding to lawful requests or protecting our users and rights, and in connection with a sale or reorganization of the business.

We do not sell personal information in exchange for money. However, sharing identifiers and browsing activity with Meta for advertising measurement may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, or as a "sale", under California and some other state laws. We do this only if you allow marketing cookies, and you can opt out at any time through Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.

5. Cookies and your choices

See our cookie policy for the cookies and storage we use. You can accept or reject marketing cookies in the banner and change your mind at any time. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal sent by your browser as a request to opt out of marketing cookies.

6. Your privacy rights

If you live in California, and in some other states, you may have the right to:

• know what personal information we collect, use and share;
• request access to a copy of your personal information;
• request deletion of your personal information;
• request correction of inaccurate personal information;
• opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information; and
• not be treated unfairly for exercising these rights.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information. To make a request, email chico@toramari.com. We may need to verify your identity, and we aim to respond within 45 days. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. To opt out of sale or sharing, you can also use the controls on the opt-out page.

7. How long we keep information

We keep contact messages only as long as needed to respond and for reasonable record-keeping. Cookie identifiers expire according to the schedule in our cookie policy.

8. Children

Tora Mari is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

10. Third-party sites

Our site links to lenders and other third parties. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
